I am always grateful that my wife never abandoned me in times of hardships and troubles. This is one thing that I learned to appreciate after I heard about what happened to my college friend the other day. My friend and I were so close before, but we lost communication after he had his own family. I just found out last week that his wife tried to put him to a drug Intervention program, but weeks after he committed suicide. I guess he couldn’t take all the hardships and frustrations that he had when he lost his job and when his children abandoned him. It was such a shameful and hurting thing to happen to a father. I am just grateful that no matter how simple my life is, I still have my family with me. I might not be the richest father in the world, but my kids adore me and love me. I guess any father needs to strive to strengthen the bond of the family every time for support during times of trials and challenges.
